If you don’t know whether you are the biological father of a child, it is important to know that you only have two years to figure it out. Yes, that’s right. Unless you request a DNA paternity test from the court within two years of the child’s birth, you may be deemed the father and there is no turning back from there. Not only is there a possibility that you may have to pay child support until the child is 18, chances are it could even go beyond that. A child may have rights to your social security inheritance rights among others.
