The Neighborhood Of Crown Ranch Estates
The neighborhood of Crown Ranch or Crown Ranch Estates is named for Crown Ranch Road. That road dead ends into Eagle Canyon. Residential streets in the neighborhood include Flager Ranch Road and Lowry Ranch Road. The area can be reached via Fullerton Avenue and East Upper Drive. This is one of the southernmost neighborhoods in Corona.
The oldest homes here date back to 1950, though it became a full-fledged community in 2005 with a spate of new homes. There are a few lots available for development or redevelopment, but they cost well over a million dollars.
Crown Ranch Estates properties tend to be larger, luxury homes. For example, you could find a four thousand square foot four bedroom home for a little over a million dollars here. A five bedroom five thousand square foot home costs more like 1.5 million dollars. For comparison, the average home in Corona, California costs a little less than half a million dollars. These homes often have great views of downtown Corona due to their elevation. Crown Ranch homes often have better than average privacy, since there are fewer people around you or even no one at all if there’s nothing but hills behind your home. Lots range from half acre to several acres in size. Because many of these homes are older, they tend to be one story ranch homes. There are a few literal Midcentury homes in the area.
Students are typically assigned to Orange Elementary School, though some may go to Ronal d Reagan Elementary. Orange Elementary School received a six out of ten from Greatschools, while Ronald Reagan was given a seven out of ten. Kids are generally sent to Citrus Hills Intermediate School for seventh and eighth grade. They then move on to Santiago High School. That school was given an eight out of ten by Greatschools.
The area received a walk score of zero, because you can’t really walk anywhere. It received a public transit score of zero, because there is no public transit like bus routes in the area. It received a bike score of two since there are a few trails in the area but no bike lanes. The closest major shopping center is several miles away along Ontario Avenue. Mountain Gate Park is located near Citrus Hills Intermediate School. This is connected via a walking trail to a small greenspace next to Corona Fire Station Number Six.
The closest real park is Jameson Park off East Foothill Parkway. Chase Park is north of Santiago High School. Spyglass Park is east of the neighborhood and located next to Woodrow Wilson Elementary School. Eagle Glen Park is one block east of that school and sits on Eagle Glen Parkway. There is no easy way to reach the Eagle Glen Golf Club without going up to East Upper Drive and taking it to Masters Drive. East Upper Drive merges with California Avenue before intersecting with East Foothill Parkway. You can take East Foothill Parkway to Highway 15. That road turns into El Cerrito Road as it crosses the highway.
